With fulfillment now complete, we are offering our final campaign update for Terraforming Mars: The Dice Game. As we wrap up this project, we want to express our gratitude for your ongoing feedback, questions, and support throughout this process.

Please note: We have also contacted a small handful of backers whose orders have faced unexpected delays and have yet to arrive. Rather than update the entire community with this information, we will continue these fulfillment conversations on an individual basis as we work to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

Shipping Update: Australia & ROW

Greetings, Terraformers!

While most shipments destined for North America, the UK, and the EU have now arrived, we still have a few regions awaiting the delivery of their rewards. 

Below is a recap of the latest information for backers in the Asian/Australian/NZ and ROW regions:

Backers in the Asia/Australia/NZ/ROW regions, the second set of shipments will ship from VFI around November 25th and then be sent to the regional hubs. Once these packages arrive at regional centers, shipping in local postal will begin, with an estimated delivery date of December 25th. Please allow 3-4 weeks for the shipments to reach the hubs.  

To check the status of individual hubs, please visit https://vfi.asia/hubs/ and scroll down to "The Dice Game" to view shipping statuses for Australia, Indonesia, Israel, South Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, and Thailand.

We want to express our gratitude for your ongoing patience as we eagerly anticipate the departure of these backer rewards. We understand the frustration that everyone in these remaining regions is experiencing, and we look forward to seeing these games arrive in your homes and onto your gaming tables!

A note for backers in the US and Canada who completed their survey after the initial deadline: Shipments to the US have now commenced, and shipping to Canada is scheduled for this week.

  • Please include your Kickstarter email address & user name (this lets us know who you are).
  • Also, include your current mailing address (this lets us know where to send replacements). It helps to include your name as part of your address and use separate lines instead of commas.
  • Please tell us precisely what you are missing and/or damaged items. (This lets our team know what you are missing). Please check everything so we can send all replacements at one time. Please be specific in your request.
  • If applicable, attach pictures of damaged items and/or packaging. This is required if you want a replacement box - so please don't throw away damaged shipping boxes until you have taken pictures.

We will respond to you within seven days of your last email. Sending multiple emails will delay our response to you.

Shipping Update: Europe & ROW

Greetings, Terraformers!

Today, we're bringing you a long-awaited update on the shipping status for backers in Europe and the Asian/Australia/NZ and ROW regions. All shipments to the US, Canada, and the rest of Europe have been sent and should be in your hands. See the bottom of this update on what to do if there are issues with rewards in these areas. 

Regarding Europe, we recently received word that our fulfillment center in Spain has seen repeated delays in receiving packages, both at the port and the warehouse. We have finally confirmed that the warehouse has at least received the games, and all packages destined for European backers in Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, and Greece are expected to ship out by the end of next week.

For backers in the Asia/Australia/NZ/ROW regions, we have confirmed that shipments have left VFI and are now on their way to regional hubs. Once these packages arrive at regional centers, shipping in local postal will begin. Dized Tutorial, Shipping Update and Component Clarifications

In today’s update, we’ve got some great news about a new way to learn how to play Terraforming Mars: The Dice Game and some component clarifications.

The Dice Game is a DIZED Game!

We’re thrilled to share that Terraforming Mars: The Dice Game now has its own interactive tutorial on the fantastic Dized platform! Players everywhere can now learn the game in the most hassle-free way around.

 A Quick Shipping Update! 

USA / CANADA

Fulfillment this US is ongoing, about 2/3 done with more packages going out over the next several weeks.  Games have arrived in Canada and shipments will start going out next week.   

EUROPE

Shipments to UK have started.  Games for the rest of Europe will start going out the end of next week.  FryxGames has asked us to remind you that each package is moving at a different pace, and one package arriving in a region/city/neighborhood does not guarantee that a package headed for the same area is close by!  

 ASIA & AUSTRALIA, REST OF THE WORLD

Shipping has started and will continue to be sent out to regional fulfilment centers by the end of September.

 Component Clarifications 

To wrap up today’s update, we wanted to address a handful of component questions that have come up.  The list of contents was provided by FryxGames on the back of the box, where many have missed it!  Sorry about that.

Card Count: You should 159 cards.  We’ve heard a few reports of players receiving one fewer card than the 159 mentioned on the component list, please contact us if you are missing any components!

Tile Count: You should have 36 tiles.  In the early prototyping phases of the game, we had planned for 7 special tiles and 29 greenery/city tiles to be included in the game, which is what was included on the Kickstarter campaign page. Once our final round of playtesting was completed, those numbers were adjusted to 6 special tiles and 30 greenery/city tiles - the number of tiles being the same, but the distribution was slightly adjusted.

Reference Sheets:  We opted to include two larger reference sheets rather than a larger number of smaller sheets.  Due to their size, the references are intended to sit on the table in a shared space rather than in front of each individual player.  Hopefully the simplified iconography will make these reference sheet unnecessary after a few rounds.

First, the good news is that shipping has started! The first packages have been sent out here in the United States, a little delayed as games had to undergo "Extensive Examinations" before clearing customs. Games for Canada have been picked up from the US warehouse and are on their way to Pick & Pack. The ship holding games for Europe has docked, and VFI has games and will start packing and sending games to their regional fulfillment centers for Asia, Australia, and the Rest of World.  

What you might call bad news, but it's totally expected - is that not all packages will go out right away. So, while shipping has started, please expect that not all packages will go out until the end of September. We'll keep pushing our teams to work efficiently, but this is a major fulfillment effort, and we'd rather try to get orders sent out correctly the first time than simply ship as fast as possible. In all regions, we will continue to process orders in batches according to like contents as this is the overall fastest method and significantly reduces the number of miss-packed boxes.  

This is a brief status for each of the regions:  

US - Shipping has started from 2Fulfill, out of the Dallas area. Shipping will continue through September.  

Canada - The games are en route from the US to Canada. Once they cross the border, packing and shipping will begin. The target date for packages to start going out is the week of September 11th. Pick and Pack are handling these shipments. Shipping will continue through September.  

Europe - The ship with games has docked. Games are awaiting offloading and then trucking to various fulfillment centers. The target date for packages to start going out is the week of September 11th. FryxGames is handling all of the European shipments, working with Pericles Distribution for the UK, Maldito Games for Spain & France, and Pagoda Logistics for everywhere else in Europe. Shipping will continue through September.  

A note from Jonathan Frxyelius on Shipping Methods used in Europe: Some of you know that the FryxGames Web Shop (from where we will send these pledges) uses Pickup Spots (a.k.a. Access Points) for our deliveries because this gives us (and you) a better shipping price, faster handling, and more secure deliveries. We based our shipping prices for this campaign on this fact, lowering the shipping cost for you by several dollars per pledge. However, we did get a lot of negative feedback when we fulfilled Terraforming Mars: Ares Expedition since some of the countries in Europe didn’t have well-functioning Access Points and, therefore, made the delivery cumbersome for a lot of backers. We don’t want that, so we have decided to send pledges directly to your door for most countries in Europe in this campaign, even if that means we will have to cover that extra cost on our side. We will still use Access Points in Scandinavia, where we know that the system works well and is preferred over home delivery by most customers: Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Norway. 

Asia/Australia/Rest of World - Games are at the Hong Kong facilities and in the queue for packing before being sent to the various regional shipping partners. The target date for packages to start going out is the week of September 11th. Shipping will continue through September. Updates for the regional shipments will be made on the VFI website: https://vfi.asia/hubs/
